Man begins trek from Lagos to Abuja to kick against President Buhari's 2nd term bid (photo) Isa Mohammed Munlaila pictured above with a box on his head, today began trekking from Lagos to Abuja to kick against the 2nd term ambition of President Buhari. Speaking to newsmen in Lagos as he embarked on his journey, Munlaila said Nigerian youths were angry with Buhari for failing the nation after three years at the helm of affairs.  Carrying a small box with the inscription: “R.I.P APC.”, Munlaila says he hopes his gesture will be appreciated by Nigerian youths and not vote for president Buhari in 2019. Meanwhile, in 2015, Suleiman Hashimu walked from Lagos to Abuja for 18 days, to celebrate Buhari’s victory at the polls.

Boko Haram Sponsors revealed

The United Nations has revealed that some non-governmental organisations are sending funds to Boko Haram, a deadly terror group in Nigeria. The international body also identified generous contributions and extortion as some of the other means through which the group is being funded, according to a report from Kairat Umarov, the Chairperson of the UN Security Council Committee. more

Crisis in APC as senators clash over Saraki's uccessor

- Senators in APC are allegedly divided over the choice of successor for Bukola Saraki  - There is a camp in support of Ahmed Lawan and another in support of Godswill Akpabio There is a fresh crisis brewing in the All Progressives Congress (APC) as senators disagreed over who should take over Bukola Saraki's seat as Senate president. Trouble reportedly started after Ahmad Lawan (APC, Yobe) was selected against Senator Godswill Akpabio (APC, Akwa Ibom) as replacement of Saraki whom the party is allegedly working towards impeaching. Lawan was allegedly endorsed as Saraki’s replacement and Sunny Ogbuoji (APC, Ebonyi) was selected as replacement for Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.
