Naija Gospel singer Sam Okposo dies at the age of 51

Nigerian gospel Singer Sammie Okposo has reportedly passed on while undergoing treatment in a hospital.
According to confirmed reports, the singer has been in and out of hospital undergoing undisclosed ailment, however, on November 25th, 2022, the singer breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the unnamed hospital.

The singer died at the age of 51 and left behind a wife and children. His death comes months after he was accused of having extramarital affairs while away from his wife.

Days after the accusations, the singer admitted to his mistakes and went on his Instagram account to publish an apology to his lovely wife. The Hallelujah master, as he is famously called, revealed through his Instagram that when he traveled to the United States, he was involved in an affair with another woman. He also said that he would be taking a break from active ministration in order to focus on his restoration.
His words "As I work in making peace with God, repenting, and asking His forgiveness, I am suspending myself from all ministry work until full restoration as this is what is proper and what I know I owe God and His people. To my wife, Ozioma, I am sincerely sorry I put you through this shameful and embarrassing situation. I broke your trust and disappointed you. Your forgiveness of my moral failure and poor judgment is important to me. I pray I will eventually be able to build back the trust and confidence every single day forth."

Iran hangs woman in defiance of international campaign

Iran executed Saturday a 26-year-old woman who had spent five years on death row for the murder of a former intelligence official, defying international pressure to spare her life. Reyhaneh Jabbari was hanged at dawn, the official IRNA news agency quoted the Tehran prosecutor’s office as saying. A message posted on the homepage of a Facebook campaign that was set up to try to save her, but which now states “Rest in Peace,” confirmed the report.
